Just upgraded to quatuum tv, 2 vms, 1 client. I used to be able to select record on other dvr, that option appears gone. I am also finding that the client seems to record by default only to the vms it is subscribed to. Are these lost features? Are requests already made to return the ability?
I also see you can only pause and resume different tvs if they are same vms.
Yes.
Clients can only work with the VMS they are connected to. They can play content from other VMS.
Not sure when you say it used to work. My udnerstanding is that Quantum has always worked that way.
May have been different with the older 72XX series DVRs but can't say for sure as I didn't have mroe than 1 legacy DVR.
Prior to quantum, there was multi-room dvr, if you had 2 or more dvr units they could all be seen and you could watch from any, similar to vms. The feature I now miss is when you went to record you could choose where to have the recording hosted, was a very nice feature, perhaps they can bring it back, you can choose where to record via online or app but was nice to do it in img.
