Parental Controls

Why I believe that Parental controls are a good thing. They should be options. In order to use certain widgets you need to set up parental controls. Well Two things first my children are adults themselves. Second they have had facebook since the beginning and with that said I trusted them to always do the right thing. So why is that I need as a PARENT PARENTAL CONTROLS ON to use the Facebook option on my Widget list and when I turn them off I have no access? Why do they give us a choice? If you want to use it you need controls on. And the password thing via the remote control is just plain useless.
