Hi all, I recently purchased an IPC1100 set top box, and due to my setup and the fact that the mounting screws are on the bottom of the box, it looks like it's going to have to be mounted upside-down.
I know that an upside-down clock is going to bother me to no end, so I was wondering if there was any kind of setting that would allow me to invert the front panel display so that it will appear right-side-up? I know that it's a slim chance, I've poured over the manual and couldn't find anything of the sort. If this isn't possible, then does anybody know of a way to just disable the front panel clock all together?
Thank you in advance.

Nope. They never thought of anyone inverting the box.

can u use a small mirror to invert the display while blocking the inverted display, or even easier, tape a dark card over the clock portion of window to block it but not block the sensor for the remote control?

Possible solution is change settings from clock to channel.

ok, i realize a mirror couldn't work, but if you own the box (you say you bought it) you could always remove, flip, and reinstall the display into front window of box after rewiring it with longer ribbon cables to former mounting holes inside on ciruit board

easier solution would be to fab up a small mounting bracket. The box is so light you could probably mount it with two sided tape or velcro.

have to agree with the mounting bracket idea, easiest by far and no inverting necessary...........from bottom of shelf down the side of box and across bottom of box and back up other side of box to bottom of shelf....leave room if needed for ventilation.....
are there really mounting screws on the bottom of the box?

One thing to keep in mind.
Verizon will not activate a box you purchased.
They will only activate a box that is rented from them.
