Program Info Box Won't Go Away / DVR Timeline Messed Up

Two issues I noticed yesterday:

1) When changing channels yesterday the program info box at the bottom of the screen would not go away.  I pressed the 'Exit' key and it would stay off for 10-15 seconds before reappearing.  The only resolution seemed to be to hit 'Guide'.  More than a bit annoying when you are trying to watch a football game. This happened a few months ago as well.

2) Watching several shows on my DVR I noticed that the timeline was a mess.  I went to fast-forward through commercials about 8 minutes into a DIY program and the elapsed time was closer to 15 minutes.  Later the elapsed time showed 30:00 and the remaining time was 0:00, but I could still move back and forth through the progam which had about 7 minutes left.  I saw this again later on a Discovery show.

Have either of these been reported in the past?

I haven't seen problem #1 since getting the IMG 1.7 upgrade, so maybe that fixed it. Hitting Exit twice was a temporary fix or changing the channel to something else and then going back again.

I'm running 1.7.1, and I'm seeing problem #1 all of a sudden.  Never had it happen before, and I found this thread while searching to see if anyone else was having this problem.  In my case, any time I do something that causes the small info box to appear at the bottom of the screen, it remains there until I press "Exit."  I'm concerned that whenever I'm recording and out of the house (i.e. not watching while I record, and therefore not around to hit the "Exit" button) everything on the DVR is going to have the info bar at the bottom of the screen for the entire duration of the program!

Does anyone know why this is happening, and whether a forthcoming firmware update will cure it?

Fjordstone - the DVR never records on-screen graphics, so you don't have to worry about that.

 Not a Fios issue .

 I have a Samsung TV and I pressed exit on the TV remote and it went away 😉
