What do you mean by "auxiliary components?"

The type of TV you buy doesn't really depend on having FiOS, just your budget, in most cases. Google "HDTV buying guides" and you will find info on each of those types.

Also, there really is not any such thing currently on the market as an LED TV.  There are plasma and LCD.  There are 2 types of LCD.  First is the older tech CCFL (cold cathode flourescent) backlight.  Second there are stes with LED backlights.  Both are LCD and the only difference is the backlight type.

The best answer to what to get is what looks best to you within your price range.  You have to be happy with the choice, not anyone else.

If by hooking up aux devices you are thinking of through the STB, then the answer is no.  Make sure what ever set  you buy has sufficient (and the correct type) of inputs for you aux devices.

There is a lot of information to wade through to find just the TV that's right for you, and the scope is beyond the purview of this forum. But I recommend AVSForum.com to see what others in your position have done. Look on the left menu for "Display Devices", click and scroll down to "FP General Discussion", then look for topics that may help you. Each of the two major technologies has advantages and disadvantages, and only you can decide where to make the compromises. Two magazines worth checking are "Home Theater", and "Sound&Vision".  Good luck.
