Try unplugging the box for 30seconds then plug it back in and see if that helps.

have you actually had this issue Joe?
No but if you are having an HDCP issue restting the box might give the STB and TV a chance to redo the hand shake. If it is another issue resetting the box cant hurt.
In the past resetting the 7216 by unplugging it has been a cure all for problems, just make sure your TV is off first especially if you are using the plug on the back of the STB for your TV. AS suggested using component cables will more then likely fix the issue. The 7216 has been know for HDMI issues.

I don't have a 7216, I have a 6416 with component cables, and I've certainly seen the problem. the easiest fix is to just change the channel, and then change back to the original channel. I haven't seen the problem on 1.6.2, but I've only had it a few days, so that's hardly a valid test.
So I doubt it is an HDMI handshake issue. I suspect it is a firmware issue on the box. I don't doubt that unplugging and waiting 60 seconds fixes it, but that's a major PIA compared to just changing the channel, and then changing back. It is strictly a power on issue, so once it is goes away, it stays away until the box is tuned off again.
Anyway I have come to regard it is a nuisance that is low on the long list of other problems with FiOS DVR boxes.
