I got my new 2 new VMS boxes and media clients today and noticed that both VMS'es DO NOT talk to each other like the previous Multiroom DVR and Stand alone DVR boxes would. This as a result requires you to go into settings and disconnect and reconnect to each VMS if you want to watch content. Additionally I cannot watch content on one VMS from another.
Frankly this was not what I was told by sales when I purchased the upgrade last week. I feel like I have been bait and switched on this. Can anyone else confirm this is by design and or Verizon is planning on fixing this in a recent upcoming release? This feels like a MAJOR step backwards and really upsets me. We pay a premium price for FIOS and would hope that they wouldn't intentionally have left this detail out.
They should be able to see each other. Reboot the vms servers one at a time. Check to see if the other appears between reboots.

I have done this and still no dice.
You can call in or try a reset on the boxes. The reset will redo the activation process
pull power plug. as soon as you plug the cord back in repetitively press the menu button until the display on the box says run. then down arrow until the display says cold. then press ok. The reset will take about 10 minutes. follow prompts on the screen. Do this one box at a time and check recording on both boxes before you do the second server.
