What router do you have?  Do you have the older router (m1424wt gige, with the red on the front/side) or the new Quantum Gatway router? I have been having the same problem with my system.  I've spent numerious hours on the phone.  Had a service man come to the house and always the same with the system sluggish for awhile and then just down right slow.  Now a new problem started where I can't even get the remote ot change the channels now.  I've been unplugging the system everytime (abut once a week) and even resetting the router weekly.  It's getting pretty old.  I am now trying to see if it's the router that will not handle the system.  I've got the older and talking with the techs etc. they say it has nothing to do with the equipment.  But that can't be true as the other boxes in the rooms use it to talk with the main box.

Issues with remote control have nothing to do witht he rotuer.

There are issues with response from Quantum boxes.

A sfotware release is starting to field that contains some bug fixes as well as enhancements.

Hopefully we all get it by the end of the month and it will correct the lagging issues.

This is NOT solved! There's no solution in this thread & it's been happening with my STB since I upgraded to Quantum & it is driving me INSANE!!!!!! I reset my box, I put new batteries in my remote, I got a new remote - NOTHING helps. And it certainly isn't helping the stress in my life, as ridiculous as that sounds, but when I watch TV I want to be able to relax & not get **bleep** off because my box refuses to receive the commands from my remote!!!

Can't say for sure, but reading on other forums it has cleared up a number of the performance issues with Quantum.

This problem is absolutely NOT solved.  It is as bad as ever.  Sometimes it takes 30 or more second to simply change a channel and often it freezes completely for a couple of minutes.

I have called support and the automated system went through several actions with no result.  The representative came on and went through the same steps (essentially a reboot) and THEN said that his system says it is a "Known problem."  So, he knew all the time that it would not be fixed.  I asked when it would be fixed and he said he did not know.    Know problem and no idea when they can fix it.

This is very, very frustrating.  My previous Verizon DVR (pre-Quantum) was fine.  This was supposed to be an upgrade.  Please FIX IT, Verizon.

The new APR 2.0 update is currently rolling out to markets now. You should have it by the end of the month.

The update should fix the issue.

It is July 7th and FiOS is still unresponsive.  I have rebooted the system and this morning it froze for almost a minute. 

It was supposed to be fixed "by the end of the month."  That was the end of June....right?

Where are you located?

There was a delay in completing the software upgrades so not everyone has it yet.

Do you know what version you have?

It is under menu-settings-system info.
