Today i setup my new quantum DVR box on family room tv and quantum box on bedroom TV.
Why is the the RF TV Out connection missing from the Quantum DVR box? I called verizon and the technician told me I didn't need it. My TV is working but then I setup my bedroom TV and the connection is on the small box. What is the RF TV Out used for?
Also I received a new remote, The remote that no longer has buttons for DVD, AUX, TV and STB. We used the AUX for the Bose Sound Bar. It seems that the new remote, I cannot use the remote with the Bose Sound Bar. I do not understand why Verizon went backwards. So now I need 2 remotes.
Thanks in advance for helping me out.
RF TV Out
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
Quantum VMS does not have rf out
Ipcs do have rt out and can be used for TV that only has rf in.
You can keep your old remote. It works with both legacy and quantum stbs.
Although not offical, it is understood that they dropped the 4 button remote as it was confusing to people. If they hit DVR or aux, remote wouldn't operate stb.
Too many support calls.
