Why was RT Droped?
Disappointing.
Very disappointing.
Now I'm watching online.
Beginning to question the pay cable paradigm.
Cable's main allure used to be it's deep subject-matter reach.
Now alternative channels are censored.
Limited view points leads to limited perspectives.
The best American is an informed American.
Just my opinion.

Russia Today? Note that it most areas its a subchannel carried by some local station in your area. Carriage is not a decision made by Verizon.
Obviously these days, carrying it has become very political and some such stations are dropping it.

It should be carried by Verizon with the news channels.

They may not offer it that way.
Some channels are only sold as OTA subchannels not national cable channels.
Think of MeTv, AntennaTV, Cozi, etc.

Hi, I Agree 100 % Am so sick of these Telecoms dictating to us the american people what and what not to watch. I like RT TV and I will have to watch it on line too. They have to respect our choices or else I can take my business somewhere else.

Cable providers aren't always the ones that dictate it.
The content providers have a large say in how their content is carried.
They can decide if they want it to be carried by cable companies directly or as a sub channel (why isnt ME TV carried everywhere for example. Because they have chosen to be a subchannel).
Their contracts also help regulate which packages their channel has to be carried in.

I also we like to see RT added to the Verizon Fios lineup. Can't understand why the channel is not carried?

If you read on previous posts, not all channels are available to cable providers directly.
They are only carried as subchannels. So unless a local channel in your area picks it up, FIOS, and other cable systems, can't carry it.
It does appear to be able to be streamed live from their website.
