Have a Multiple Room HD DVR with media manager. Also have a Normal Set top Box. When I watch a recorded program (non-HD) on Normal set top box the show after sometime starts to AUTO fast forward. Even if I Pause and play again it does not work. Any suggestions please
Hello FiosRocks...that should not happen. Is it only on this one particular box? Can you fill out this form https://www98.verizon.com/content/verizonsupport/ so we can access your account information and do some maintenance on that box for you. Please remember to advise if its just the one box and include the serial number on the box as well. Thank you! I look forward to assisting you.
It started working fine, Not sure what happened but I did experience issue. Now I am good.
This was a known issue on the 1.6 firmware. I am guessing either for some reason your box didn't get the 1.7 firmware, or the problem isn't completely fixed. It required a very specific set of circumstances involving Verizon 'splicing' in a commercial.
And there was no work around. It would always happen at exactly the same point.
What you haven't said is whether or not it went away on the program you experienced the problem with, or you simply haven't seen it since. This was one of several 'runaway' remote DVR issues, some of which are still in the 1.7 firmware. I found I was rarely able to watch an entire 60 minute program remotely without at least runaway when trying to skip over commercials. YOur experience may be different, but I finally decided that the aggravation was more than the feature was worth. I got rid of the feature.
"..but I finally decided that the aggravation was more than the feature was worth. I got rid of the feature."
By getting rid of the feature do you mean you got rid of the Multi Room HD DVR or is there some way of turning on/off features in the DVR that I am not aware of?
