I have a Motorola standard HD STB in a bedroom that I normally leave on continuously as I have a Slingbox connected to it for when I'm away from home. Lately the STB shuts off after about 4 hours of being on. Is this a problem in the STB, or did Verizon somehow change the programming to shut off the box after a while?

I have been having the same problem just recently with 2 of my standard HD boxes. I changed the sleep time setting from 4 hours to NEVER, and I am hoping that solves the problem. Too soon to tell for sure though, as it has only been 2 days since I made the change, but so far, so good!

Thanks - I'll give it a try. I was unaware there is a SLEEP setting.

I didn't either, but I went looking for possible setting changes from an update, perhaps. It would appear that the default setting on the Sleep Timer is 4 hours. Please let me know how you make out with this!
