Select TV as Input from Fios but See Snow

I used the red/white/yellow plugs to connect tv to vcr/dvd combo. Combo is on and reading cd, tv is on channel 3, I select tv as input from Fios but see snow.

That is the wrong input. You need yo press the input or source button on your remote. The yellow/red/white wires are typically labeled AV, Video, or Composite.
