Short rewind when fast ford is stopped

Is there any way when fast forwarding, and you hit play the the dvr will rewind a few seconds before playback begins. If fast forwardin through commercials and you see your show again and hit play, you miss a few seconds.

Not having this feature is really irritating.  To the point that I'm thinking of chaning to another provider.  DirectV had this.
