When I order VOD HD, all of my 9:16 TV is used. When I order VOD SD, there is a wide black border around the entire picture. It is not simply 3:4 in 9:16 with black on the left and right; the entire picture appears to have been reduced.
Is there a setting I need to change?
Is this done on purpose by VZ to "encourage" me to buy the more expensive HD?
My TV is only 32" diagonal so, there is not much point in buying HD. Except when SD becomes, effectively, 27" diagonal....
Thanks.
if it's an SD Box only then you don't have any settings on the box that you can exploit. So you would use the ZOOM features on the TV set itself. you might have to get the TV remote out (not the fios one, but the one you got when you bought the tv)
IF it's an HD box, you can go to menu > settings > video settings and then SD OVERRIDE and that lets you stretch it from within the Cable Box.
