I have two TVs, one using a QIP 6416 P2 box, the other a QIP 7216 P1 box. BOTH are exibiting the same behavior - I change the channel and it doesn't take place for about 10 seconds, like its frozen, then it rapidly executes the changes (when I've changed several channels). Same hesitancy appears when bringing up the guide as well. This appears to happen mostly first thing in the morning, as if its waking up and needs to clear something. I don't turn off the boxes, I leave them running all night.
Any suggestions?
I haven't seen this on a 7216 or a 7232. Possibly intrferece with the IR signal of the remote to STB. Some have problems with certain Plasma TVS.
Have you tried resetting the boxes?
The TV I have the biggest problem with is a 42" plasma. Hmm.
I think I've tried recycling. I've certainly tried unplugging :).
Did your DRVs recently get the new 'update'? My DVRs are extremely sluggish since this was pushed through.
