Solution for no audio problems

I went through 3 settop boxes , 3 HDMI cables, and 3 service calls to my home and a dozen phone calls to tech help people about my no audio problem every time I turned my fios one box on by remote.  I solved the problem myself..by accident. But it sure corrected the problem.  Merely hold the power button down for three seconds before you left up. Same process for turning off the settop box. I’ve had no more sound issues since doing this.
