I have been a long term Fios customer, and am very familiar with the product. Fios 1, however totally changed the remote.
I have a Granger Bessel sound bar, and it’s not directly supported, so I thought I would be able to scroll through codes like the older remotes. Nope.
My backup plan was to use the variable feature for volume control from the Fios server. Doesn’t work.
Tech support couldn’t help me with either problem.
So I am on to plan 3, go back to the tv volume and use an optical cable to drive the sound bar. Not sure if that will work.
I have read all the forum posts for these types of issues. I’ve rebooted countless times, and Verizon has both reset and reprogrammed the box.
Am I missing anything?
Plan 3 will work, or you could try one of the old remotes for a Harmony or similar remote. Did you try random manufacturers for the soundbar? There is a good chance they share codes with another brand.
