Sound Bar not turning off with Fios Voice Remote

I have an LG TV and soundbar. While the new FIOS voice remote works to change the channel and volume I cannot get it to turn off the soundbar when the TV is turned off. Everything works correctly with the LG remote. With the Fios remote the soundbar stays on and you hear the audio from the tv. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
