Soundbar Connection - Set Top Box

I recently purchased and received the Verizon Soundbar.  Does this replace the Set-Top Cable Box or can the Soundbar be used together with the Set Top Box?  If so, how does that connection take place?

Soundbar works with the box, not instead of it. Go HDMI from the box to the soundbar, then HDMI from soundbar to the TV. You should have had instructions included with the soundbar.

Soundbar works with the box, not instead of it. Go HDMI from the box to the soundbar, then HDMI from soundbar to the TV. You should have had instructions included with the soundbar.
