On the Starz web site, it says that the movies Angels and Demons and The Proposal are now available On Demand. I have searched Starz On Demand, and I have used the menu search function to search all On Demand, and it is not there.
Does anyone know why Verizon not running it?

That is just an update to the the Starz website. The movies usually don't appear OnDemand until a few days after they premiere on the channel itself. If you can't wait for ANGEL & DEMONS, rent the disc instead. It is a more complete version, as the Starz showing will be about 15 - 20 minutes shorter.

I don't know what you mean by 'it is just an update'. It says under Availability: March 11 to April 7.
Doesn't it mean it is available, or is this supposed to mean "sometime between" those dates it will become available? If so, it is misleading. If you click on the title and go to the full page it says -"Available On Demand through April 07". Maybe they've just made an error.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't rent DVDs. We use Verizon On Demand pay per view films. Angels and Demons is no longer available to buy, and I would assume that is because it is available On Demand free/with subsciption according to Starz.

Probably a general error, meaning that it will be available sometime between those dates. But not till it premieres (or close to that time). If the movie need not be in HD, it may appear first under "EARLY PREMIERES"

I've noticed the same thing. It is not only true with Starz but other premium channels too. The premium channel will make a movie available for VOD, but FiOS may wait several days or even longer before they make it available. Same thing with Premium channel series episodes. I'll ask a co-worker with Comcast if they have a VOD Movie or episode and they do, whereas FiOS does not. FiOS is especially bad with posting series episodes timely.

I checked and Angels and Demons showed up today in Starz On Demand. So it is apparently five days after it was made available. What's the deal--does it cost Verizon money to start airing it, or are they just disorganized?

Yes, it's on now. And, as I expected, it's the shorter version. Also unfortunately, the HD version has 1/3 of the picture missing. But the non-HD version has it in the correct widescreen ratio!! Shame on you Starz!
