Streaming Apps

For some reason whenever I try to log into streaming apps such as Syfy,TNT or FX, I am able to log in but it tells me I need to buy a subscription to the channel to use the streaming aspect of the app. It says I need to purchase a preffered or better channel plan. The problem is, on my actual TV/cable I have a preffered plan and already have all those channels. Any fix here?

I remember a few years ago I tried to watch fx app and apparently verizon didn't have a contract with fx for the streaming app. I had to use my mom's comcast info to log in. Maybe that's still the case.
