I want to know if I rent a movie on my PC can I stream it to my TV and watch it there? (screen is much bigger).
Thanks for the anticipated help!

Hey NorthStar1029, if you have a DVR with Media Manager it won't stream a movie because its not a save file but if you have a TV with wireless capability then you can stream it from your PC if you have the required equipment.
I don't stream but my TV has a PC input so I bring my laptop over to it, connect video via VGA, along with an audio wire (laptop headphone output to TV PC audio). Works great -- like having a 46" monitor for your PC! THe sound is also much better than my laptop speaker output.

I too have a PC connected to my big screen. If you have a dual output video card, you may be able to connect a cable from your PC to your TV, and set the PC for dual monitors in clone mode. I did that until I was able to build a cheap PC for use at the TV. Remember connecting a splitter from the audio out to your TV and speakers may not be healthy for your hardware, so just get an extension cable for your audio out to provide easy access to switch cables. Or use the audio out on the front of your PC so it is easier to access when switching audio connections. If your PC has an optical output you may be able to run fiber to your TV and copper to you speakers and have them both operate.
