Over the last few weeks my FIOS TV signal has been intermittently breaking up. I used the chat line and the tech used some process that was suppose to correct the issue but it it didn't work. Am I the only one with this problem?
I was just looking to see if others were were experiencing this. I am having a similar problem in that approx. every 2-3 minutes, the picture will break up and stutter for a second and then return to normal. Problem has been intermittent. I live in MA.
Thanks in advance!
Interestingly enough... I am currently a Cox Communications customer... switching to FIOS this weekend... my Cox TV service has been having signal breaks for the past week or so... hmmmm...
No problems here in West Fla. Check your cables from the ONT or from the splitter; might be loose.
Is it only happening on one of your boxes or all of them?
if it's just one then it's likely a problem with that one leg of cable.
hit menu on your controller
go down to help/customer support
choose in home agent
and then network diagnostic
it will check your video signals
after it's done hit info and it will give you technical details. make sure the SNR number is above 32 if it's below that, it indicates a problem with the cabling in the house, and you may want to unhook your coax cables and then reconnect them.
after you re-hook them, you have to run that test again and see if the number went up. if it doesn't then you may have to try a new cable. I have had my fair share of coax cables that have gone bad on me, even though I don't touch them or move equipment around.
I have had a similar experience except it is happening whenever I order an On Demand movie. It doesnt happen when it is an On Demand show from a Premium channel. Kind of strange.
Yes! Don't know what to do. I've tightened all the connections. I think it's the signal
