TV won't shut off.

When I shut my tv off, I get a box that says "Did you Know" blah blah.  It says to press menu to watch fios tv, otherwise shut your tv off.  The problem is that it won't shut off.  It keeps going back to that box.  It appears to be helpful hints.  The box moves from corner to corner.  How can I get rid of this and shut the tv down.

Sounds like you are turning stb off not the TV.

what style remote do you have and what button are you hitting?

Very simple. Take batteries out of remote and reinstall.
