Comcast found a spot because it owns it. My guess is Comcast will want a ridiculous amount of money for a channel that few outside of Philly will watch
Verizon already pays for Comcast Sportsnet and The Comcast Network (TCN) but only carries the latter in SD (Comcast Sportsnet is available in both HD and SD). I don't believe there is an additional charge from Comcast for TCN in HD and it is simply a matter of finding QAM space for an additional HD which VZ does not seem to be willing to do for this channel (has been requested for years). One other eason is that many times the only live events are "overflow" (like when the 76ers and Flyers are both playing at the same time).
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for TCN in HD to be added.

No response?
Anyway you can at least present the SD feed in letterbox? The game is shot with widescreen in mind. With the 4:3 Sd crop you lose sight of the puck when its in the corners continuously through out the game. I understand there maybe local limits on the HD capacity, but at least let me see the full image.
These are peer to peer forums, Verizon doesn't monitor or respond to questions posted in these forums.
The picture quality and letterboxing is beyond frustrating and it's become pretty obvious Verizon could care less.
