The verizon workers were installing Fios cable on my street (Highland Ave, Cherry Hill, NJ) this past Wednesday. I was wondering when I should expect the Fios to be available for me to order?

Probably weeks or even months. First they do the cable, then they install some metal boxes about the size of a half washing machine. Then they have to hook everything up and test it. Then they can start installing home sites. Note that the fiber cable VZ installs stops at your house; inside your house is standard coax cable (that belongs to you) like what is used for cable TV.

Do any Verizon employees have a response?

Most Verizon employees are forbidden to say anything unless your area is actually announced. Somewhere on this site there is a option to "notify" when available.
