Turn off the clock on the box display

I seem to remember that when I had the HD box that I was somehow able to turn the clock off when the box was off automatically. I now have the standard box can I turn the clock off on that ?

You should be able to from the MENU =>SETTINGS and one of the sub-menues (I'm not able to access my box from where I am).  One of the choices should be to set the front panel display to off when the STB is off.

Menu ==> Settings ==> System ==> Media Server Settings ==> Standby Front Display ==> Turn Display Off
