Why are some of the upper channels repeats of lower channels. For example 141 is the same as 1581.
1500's & 1600's are Spanish package and foreign language channels.
Some 1500 and 1600 channels are Spanish/foreign language channels but not the ones Topdog is referring to. 1581 and 1582 are Lifetime and LMN. 1601 and 1602 are QVC and HSN. Many other channels in the 1500's and 1600's are repeats of ower channels. The only reason I can think of for having the channels repeated on 1500''s and 1600's are they are images of the lower channels which Verizon cannot block unless they put a new channel on to block the image. I'm only guessing, but I can't see any reason Verizon would purposely repeat channels.

I already stated the reason. They repeat them in that block for people who just want to subscribe to the Spanish package. It's weird that they do it that way, but that is why they are repeated there.
They do it that way because they want the channels that are in the Sp. package to be close to each other in the guide. If you only have the Sp. package, all your channels will be 4 digit #'s, easier to handle for people who may be "English impaired".
