Can a HMDI powered splitter be used with the Verizon VMS1100 DVR to hook-up to HD-TV and separate DVD/VCR?
If so, can the DVD/VCR be able to record what is playing on the TV?

Most shows do not allow recording as they are copy protected.
But otherwise, would work fine.

I wanted a separate signal to go to my XBOX as well as to the Preamp. I purchased a 1-4 splitter that was rated for 4K and HDCP compliant. The signal was totally blocked.
Before I go spinning my wheels is there anything I should know about the
VMS1100 that would prevent the use of a spliter?
