Using a splitter into the DVR hub with Fios Quantum.

I am trying to use a splitter into my DVR hub. When I did I got my tv picture just fine on both boxes however none of my other boxes could find the DVR in the one room. Is this a symptom of using a splitter?

Depends on the splitter.

I do that at my DVR and don't have an issue.

But if either the splitter or cable connecting it to DVR is bad, could cause a high loss so that other boxes can't see it.

What are the specs on your splitter?

The splitter is 3GHz and a 2-way splitter. I haven't tried any other cables so that will be my next plan. Thanks.
