I just wanted to inform everyone of the recent scam I was involved in. I received a flyer in the mail which I could not turn down. It was Ultimate HD triple play package for 109.99 with an additional $10.00 off online and an addtional $10.00 off for combined billing with my verizon wireless account. Over the phone I was told that my total bill with 3 boxes (all multi room dvr-2 HD) with HBO at 50% off for a year including taxes would be $110.00 and some change. I also would be getting a $500.00 Visa card. I then agreed to this and set up my installation. Even know this was an "online" promotion the verizon rep told me I could get the same deal over the phone if i did it right then and there. We then set up installation for December 5th 2011. I have now had Fios for a little over 2 days. It has been a total nightmare. Dvr not working. Channels turning off and telling me im not subscribed. So last night (tuesday night) when I finally had time to call tech support I called them and they did all the trouble shooting they could and still nothing. So in the meantime i figured itd be a good idea during this mess to confirm my total monthly price with customer service. Once I FINALLY (20 minutes later) got on the phone with customer service we started going over my bill. They then told me my bill was $127.00 before taxes!!!!! This is not what I agreed to!!!!!! Then they continued to tell me that they have no record of the person who actually sold me the package over the phone? What kind of business runs like this? I am totally disgusted right now and will be taking verizon to small claims court as well as reporting them to better business bureau. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NO HELP EITHER. I GUESS I WILL WAIT TO HEAR BACK FROM VERIZON BEFORE I TAKE THESE ACTIONS? Someone contact me asap!
