VOD won’t resume

I was watching a VOD and accidentally hit “last” on the remote which transferred me to live TV immediately. There was no prompt asking to exit the on-demand video. I was an hour and a half into the movie and now I can’t resume- I must start over without any fast forward options. Is there a fix? Why is this feature so inconvenient and outdated?

Some (AND ONLY SOME) VOD allow you to resume.  Often on the Verizon (and Frontier) boxes you have to go to on demand--My Library section in order to do so.

Hitting Last again theoretically will do the same, as long as it was the last thing you were doing.  But it definitely doesn't always work.
