After 3 years now Verizon is simply unable to get the vendor to supply a good content file for the Korean Package guide. I have opened many ticketrs for this, the latest being {edited for privacy}. You can only "record a series" if the show in the guide in in blue (meaning a series). When a show is miscatorgized as a movie it is in red and a one time event, with no "record a series" option. When a show is miscatorgized as news it is in green and a one time event, with no "record a series" option. And then sometimes in the next update they rename or mispell show, so the recording is missed of course and I have to call in again.
When this happens we cannot record a series for when we are out of town. Now, I thought that is why we bought the DVR and the Korean package. I pay Verizon over $350 a month for ALL my Internet, TV, and ALL my phone needs, including cell phnes (plural). So why I am I paying this and not able to use this feature?
Wow, I am amazed at how well this worked out. I entered it on the 25th and they jumped right on it and fixed all my problems and even provided us with breakfast in bed.
NOT! Not only has no one reached out to me on this issue, via phone or email, it also appears that Verizon does not use the forums to address customer issues either.
I guess I will have to spend another hour on the phone this morning calling the poor souls in tech support. Again.
Well, I spent another hour on the phone yesterday on this issue only to be hung up on. Great customer service, huh? As they take your phone numbers at the beginning of the call, and if you get disconnected they call you back, I know I was hung up on.
Oh, yeah, the ticket is still open from 8/19, but no resolution yet.
Update: They actually called me and I went through all of this again. This time the party was interested and actually seemed to take notes and get an understanding of all the issues.
While some of the reported issues were resolved, the current is is now that a existing show in the Guide was recatagorized from a Series to a News show (Blue to now Green) so now there is not Record Series option when you press OK on that show in the Guide.
