I sincerly doubt that GolTV was "the most popular".  If that was the case and the ratings were high then the channel would have stayed on FIOS.  Bottom line is GolTV is dying a slow death and that is why Cable Providers are dropping them.  And the fact that Fox Soccer is going away in August (being replaced with Fox Sports 1) doesn't help the case either.

VERIZON - STOP THIS

The Channel Line up for North Texas stills shows Gol TV (in english) on 313 but I was not able to subcripe it.

Currently it seems that only GOL TV (ESP) on 1523 is available for North Texas.

VERIZON listen to your customer: I am WILLING  to pay for Gol TV (to be able to watch Bundesliga soccer). If you not providing this channel anymore.  Then I don't have a reason to stay with Verzion anymore and I will DROP TV and INTERNET. 

I hope all the other Gol TV (ENG) fans will do the same.

VERZION  - WE expect a response VERY SOON. (The Bundesliga is starting in two weeks and we like to get our access to GOL TV Eng back.

I am reading quite a bit of misinformation about GolTV.  GolTV still has several South American leagues, to include Brazil's, which are very popular and they have the German Bundesliga, which is arguably the best league in the world right now..  Further, they just acquired the Dutch Eredivisie, which is currently rated in the top 5 of the world.  They are more than reputable, much more so than Fox is now.

I just got the information, that verizon is also dropping gol tv (1523) from the ulimate package.

My question is, is verizon also dropping gol tv from the spanish language package?

Gol tv was the only (or at least the main) reason why I got the ultimate package in the first place, therefore I am thinking switch from my current package to a smaller one and adding the spanish package.

Where did you hear that? I said before i expected verizon to drop gol tv espanol within the next six months but if this is true then it came a lot sooner than i thought. It is something i could look into if you have an email or an article to reference. I have yet to receive an email about this and if it is on the way then i can elaborate some more as to what it going on. As i have said before verizon is not really the provider that will carry the soccer/futbol games that will appeal to everyone and quite frankly it is somewhat shocking that they carry any soccer at all because they do not believe that the ratings justify the cost of it. From gol tv being dropped to fox soccer going away to not offering games on pay per view that other providers offer if you are a futbol fan you are no doubt missing out on a great deal of what is out there. They did add bein sport which has la liga, the italian series, and the french league along with some us men's away games but for the most part the soccer games that many people want are not there. Gol tv has the bundesliga and brazilian soccer just to name a couple of their exclusive deals but a lot of what is out there is not carried by verizon. If you have fios for your tv the only soccer channels that they offer are all in spanish. You have espn deportes, fox deportes, univision deportes and bein espanol just to name a few. Bein usa really does not have that much soccer on it when you compare it to bein espanol which has pretty much all of the best games that bein has to offer while at best bein usa may have some repeats days or weeks later. As i have said before espn deportes hd and univision deportes hd are going to be added in the next few months which is an interesting move because gol tv hd was never added.

There is a small note on my last bill, in the upper left corner on the third page.

it says: "On or after October 17, 2013, GOL TV, channel 1523, will be removed from the FIOS TV Ultimate HD package.

And like I said, if they keep GOL TV in the spanish language package I add this, and only downgrade my Ultimate package.
Otherwise I have to cancel my whole service, because I only care about the german bundesliga I don`t need la liga, seria a or the premiere league.

There are a lot of otherwise to get my bundesliga games....(slingbox, vpn......)

Till now, I just was to lazy to go that way, but when they force me to...I have to do this.

Any updates on when we can expect to get Sur Peru and/or Peru Magico? I recently switched us from DirecTV to Verizon FIOS (I wanted to get LMN), and my husband is NOT happy to have lost his 2 favorite channels--I was happy to see Verizon now has BeIn!!!   I thought I may have I to switch us back to DirecTV, but this thread gives me hope!!

At least COX still offers GOL TV. If they can get service to my area. Verizon will be dropped.
