Verizon adding informercial and porn HD not what customers ask for.

Beginning tomorrow 7/31 FIOS will be adding HD slots for 3 PPV "adult" channels (950 Playboy, 951 Brazzers, 952 Reality Kings Adult), as well as the infomercial channel WOW (658).  Also adding HD for the UPlifting TV channel (798/298).  Really?  The quick buck yet again.  Nobody wants these adult channels (just download it for free) or an infomercial channel in HD.  Verizon is tone deaf to the customers.

They are subscription only so unless you want to pay for them there no no chance you will ever see them. Even with those channels Verizon offers far LESS Adult programming than Directv, DISH, Comcast etc. you claim Verizon is not listening to it's customer, I beg to differ. You would be surprised how many people will subscribe. Not me personally, I have better things to spend my money on but porn does sell. I do agree with you about WOW and the uplifting channel, more wasted QAM space on crap almost nobody will watch.

If you have set up your favorites lists (1 & 2), these channels have been added withouth your approval. Therefore, if you have a favorites section set up for, say, your children in Favorites 2, they now have Brazzers, Playboy, and Reality Kings in their program options. 

If you are not subscribed to these then this isn't a problem. However, how difficult is it for a 12 year old to figure out how to add programs?... Not cool, Verizon, not cool.

If you have your parental controls set up it is extremely difficult for a 12 year old to add the channels.

And the channels were NOT automatically added to my favorites when they appeared.

When I go to set up my favorites lists, this is what happens:

Setting->Favorite Channels->Favorites 2->Add or Remove Channels->899 HBO HD-<-<-<

When I return to my favorites channels, having only added one channel, I show

154 HSN 2, 186 JusticeCTV, 327 ESPNCE7, 465 Laff, 483 Decades, 487 Buzzr, 655 FiOS TV, 771 TV One HD, 899 HBO HD (only one I added), 950 Playboy HD, 951 Brazzers, 952 RKTV

I'm sorry, but these other channels don't seem like family television to me. In fact, 6 of these phantom channels are subscription only channels that I can't even watch without subscribing, 3 of them are hardcore porn, and 2 are info-mercial channels. 

Verizon tech seems to think this is a problem with this box, however it is affecting BOTH boxes in my home. Something seems off...

We'll see if the motorola boxes they are replacing these with have the same issues.

I've never heard of someone complaining about a service bringing in more options. The heck? 

How can you speak for everyone? For all you know there are many people that do want these channels 

Just ignore them if you don't like them.
