Volume on DVR and OnDemand too low

The volume on recorded programs and On Demand programs is much lower than it is on regular TV.  I have repeatedly reset everything, and nothing helps.  It is virtually impossible to reach Customer Service.

Often this has to do with Dolby Digital sound which has inheritently lower volume to allow more dynamic range.   Realy loud sounds will still reach the highest levels,   I believe 6 DB lower.  I don't recommend it but they have some settings to try and make speach sound louder

But either way the volume level is usually the content provider and not a Verizon issue.
