Just an FYI. I purchased a 1T DVR expander specifically for FIOS from Western Digital last week. Price is $129.99 with free shipping. Also you may be able to find a $15 off coupon online, I did. Go to the WD Store and you can find it there, not from the main web page (may say out of stock if you look it up there). These had not been available for some time and I know people are asking a lot more for used ones or refurbished ones E-Bay. Got it in yesterday, plugged it in and everything worked perfectly right from the start.

I got mine from Amazon warehouse (used) for $99 . Works great, massive amounts of storage. On the other hand, I am having what appears to be STB problems, so if you ever need to swap out your box you need to reformat the external drive..And lose everything on it...but that is true if you have to exchange your DVR without the expander...
