Thanks @XDM45guy for the suggestion. Is there anything about such devices that Verizon may block in the near future? Also...what model is recommended? Would the SB300 suffice for HD/1080p streaming?

The SB300 is a 2013 model. It only has component inputs and output so it does not support 1080p. 1080p requires HDMI.
