I already pay a ton of money monthly for my FIOS package. Last week I missed the latest episode of a prime time show and went to the VOD service to watch it, but found it has a $1.99 charge to watch it! Why the additional fee to watch the most recent episode of show that aired less than a week ago?
This is typically charged by the content provider (not saying the Verizon doesn't make something off of it).
Sometimes, there is a charge for the most recent, but then it becomes free shortly there after.
Other times, only a limited number of shows are free.
Look at how so many content providers are starting streaming services.
How can you drive people to your service if they can watch shows for "free" on cable?
What show was it?
