Why can't Verizon DVR Jump to end of recorded program

Very frustrating having to fast forward thru entire program to get to the end or even last 10 minutes.  Comcast DVR does Skip to end.

While playing back hit the up arrow.  Should pause and give you a list of pictures (sometimes the pictures show blank) in 10 minute intervals.  Select the one you want.

I found this discussion by googling, and I totally agree there should be faster way to move to the end, and how about moving forward faster than "8x", which is horribly slow for a multi-hour program. How about doing what classic DVR's like Tivo's do and let you fast forward by a major percentage (25% or something) by hitting the skip button while fast forwarding.  Ugh, so frustrating.

Re: the up-arrow feature: that's a cute additional feature, but I want a faster, simpler go to end fast option.
