El Classico is one of the worlds premier soccer games, arguably better than the Champions League Final due to the rivalry between Barcelona and Madrid. Why is fios not carrying this game or any La Liga games this year. For our family this is important enough to change providers to someone who carries Spanish Football. Based on the number of Messi Jerseys you see in the USA it is a significant market that Fios is shutting fans out.
Totally agreed. i will switch providers too.
I asked myself the same thing. This match gets more tv views then the super bawl and none of the channels o\in USA pick it up? Instead they showing a replay on NBC of the Man U vs Newcastle game, this is beyond my comprehension why. Ridiculous.
Yeah, american TV is awful. All they care about is to charge a lot of money for subscription and fill the time with commercials as much possible.

Worldwide, you are correct it is the most watched sport, but in the United States you are total wrong. Soccer is near the bottom, nfl, nba, mlb, college football and college basketbal, NASCARl and the Super BAWL draw 20, 30, 40 times more viewers than Soccer. Sorry but that is a fact. And since Verizon only services a select number of areas in the United States they don't consider the numbers of viewers they could lose a big deal.
I live in NY for over 10 years and every time there is an important match (like Barcelona Madrid) the bars are full of people trying to watch the game. Maybe in certain areas is not as popular as the NBA or Superbawl and they shouldn't show them there, but there are many were it is the most popular sport, so this is a mistake. Not only Americans lives in America.
