Last baseball season I was not able to watch the New York Yankees games on tv. I am a FIOS user since 2007. I live in Burlington county, NJ. I have the channel but when the game is on the chanell puts an old show and it is not in HD eventhough it will be on the correct channel.
I would like to watch the games like normal so what is the option. I called multiple times to Verizon and no one could answer my questions and fix the issue.
HELP!!
Verizon doesn't control the content that is playing.
have you reached out to yes channel for their comment?

What is happening is that Burlington County is outside the Yankee broadcast area so any games being shown on YES will be blacked out per MLB rules. It's unfortunate but it is MLB that is dictating what can be shown and since Burlington County is considered a suburb of Philadelphia (whether you agree or not is irrelevant) they are not allowed to show Yankee games. It's not Verizon's doing it is Major League Baseball. The only way you can get Yankee games is by subscribing to the Extra Innings package. Again, blame MLB for this (they want your $$$$).
