can't get my remote to turn on/off my AKAI TV

I have a Philips remote RC1445301 and an AKAI LCD model:LCT37Z6TA and cannot get the remote to operate the TV. I went through the 10 codes provided by Verizon with no success. I then went through the steps using code 922 and toggling through using the FF button with no success. I'm out of options and still stuck using the TV remote to turn the unit on and operate the volume. can anyone suggest something else?

If the search option is not working you may have to try another manufacturer's code that can be used on Akai Televisions. . I sent you a private message to further assist you.

can you send me that list also? im having the same problem. aka tv not progrmming to the verizon remote with the codes listed or the search option. please help
