control of recording preferences from remote location

I want to change recording preferences on my dvr from a remote location.  Is this possible?  If so, how can I do this?

I have not seen any way to change any STB options via remote access.

What options do you want to change?

Thanks for your reply.  I'd like to change the programs we've set to record and eliminate some of the programs that have already been recorded to create space on the hard drive.

That you can do.

I know the FIOS TV App works with Quantum hardware (VMS). Also allows you to watch recorded content (and it is data free if you have Verizon wireless).

I am not sure about the legacy DVR (7XXX or 6XXX).

But give it a try.
