* The PAC 12 network is not having financial problems and is not anything close to being discontinued.
* The SEC network is carrying a big game on the first day of the season. With the SEC, ESPN controls the network and so they're doing the same thing they did to force providers to carry ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN3 - they are putting big events on the SEC Network. (The PAC 12 Network, on the other hand, shows only games that Fox, ESPN, and a host of others passed on. Ditto for the Big Ten Network.)
* Somehow I doubt FIOS is doing surveys on which they base their decision
* CBS has dibs on SEC games and they will not show more nor fewer games based on how many are on the SEC Network.
