fios voice command on remote

I just upgrade  verizon fios,  got new boxes and remotes. I think I got a problem with the voice command on remote. I was in one room and changed channel using voice command.  And my wife came out of her room she said her tv was acting up.

 She said she had on a channel and it changed to cnn. That is the channel in the other room I told the voice command to go to. Is he tv box picking it up the signal from the other room if so what can be done about it

Voice remotes use bluetooth.

So it should be seeing a signal from another remote.

A remote has to be sync'd to each STB.

Is it possible that the remote in the room she was in heard your voice and acted as well?
