locking out channels?

Hi - is there any way to lock out (or block or delete) channels you don't want to watch? So when just clicking or channel surfing, you don't see the ones you are not interested in?

I have done a search, and it is certainly not obvious.

ok - figured it out. Set up your "favorites" and have the channel flip by favorites (in settings), not all the channels (and so you dont have to laboriously go through channels you dont want to see or have not paid for). Cool.
