I have recently lost a few channels, for instance, 192, 143-why? Why was no notification given. Are they going to be replaced?

Some channels have been lost recently because the content provider eliminated them.
Notifications of pending changes in the lineup are provided in the "Need-to-Know Information" section of your bill. And also via the message center in the menu.

Channel 143 - soapnet was shut down by it's owners ABC/Disney, Verizon did NOT drop it. And they did give notice, I suggest you go to the message center on your STB, everyone was notified that ABC/Disney were shutting the channel down and that it would no longer be available on FiOS as of 01/01.

And channel 192 was Current TV. Current TV was bought out about a year ago by Al Jazeera Media Network. They continued to operate it for awhile and then merged some its people with their own to launch Al Jazeera America. That channel was moved to Channel 114.
Bring us Mavtv now I pay a lot for my service and I get channels I do not need or understand because of language.. GIVE US MAVTV !!!!!!!
I have lost 3 channels recently (Recipe TV; My Destination TV, and Comedy). I phoned Verizon, and was told that for an additional $25 per month I could have a package that includes thiose 3 channels. I asked when this new package was created, and was told that it ALWAYS existed. This is BULL, since I have gotten those 3 channels forever, and was under the illusion that I was already paying for the highest level package. Verizon is a horrible company and I am calling them now to discontinue all 3 services.
We have lost 3 channels suddenlt: Recipe TV, My Destination TV, and Comedy. I called Verizon and was told that for an additional $25 per month, I could but the package that includes those 3 channels!! I asked the rep when this new package was "created", and she told me that it has always been this way!! How can that be, when we have always watched those channels??
It depends on what package you have,The best way to insure you will have most of the the channels is to get the ultimate packge.

Those god awful .tv channels are only available in the Ultimate HD tier. If you're not an Ultimate HD subscriber and were getting those channels you were getting them in error and it sounds like they fixed the problem. Now if you're are an UItimate HD subscriber then you need to call Customer Service.
