dog walked over remote - now nothing but white ststic- how to reset ?
1. Press and hold the STB key.
2. While holding down the STB key, press OK.
3. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
4. Press 9-0-0.
The STB key will blink 3 times to indicate success in programming.
Note that all previous programming will be lost
If you are getting nothing but static on the TV screen, that indicates to me that your dog's paw probably hit the Input button on the remote. Most TVs today have multiple inputs, you need to have the TV using the input that the output from your STB is connected to.The Input button (also labeled A/V on the remote) will typically control the TV input once the TV button on the remote has been pressed. Try pressing the TV button on the remote, then the Input button multiple times until the picture (hopefully) appears.
I doubt resetting the remote is going to fix the problem (but of course I may very well be wrong......).
